A Day at the Lake

On Sunday we were invited for a last minute day at a friend's lake house. We had been asked a few times over the summer but it never quite worked out until last weekend. The place was nicer than our house, not very far away and on a beautiful lake. The girls were so excited to play in the water with their friend Brooke. There was a great big slide that Reagan took no time at all to conquer. She flew down that thing every which way she could. Avery was a little leary and never did try it. I did, though and it was pretty cool. We took a pontoon ride around the lake and Eric and Mr. John took thekids on jet-skis. Those were a huge hit with the kids and I think possibly awakened the thrill seeker in Avery. It was a really great time and so nice to sit at the water and chat with Miss katie while watching the kids enjoy the last hoorah of summer.
