The most exciting part of this Easter season(short of Jesus dying for our sins) was the weather. It was so refreshing to wear spring clothes and search for Easter eggs outside...that NEVER happens in SE Michigan! We really had a lot of fun Easter celebrations. Several friends joined us for Kensington's annual Easter Egg Hunt then again for the Easter service. It was really nice to share such an important part of my life with someone so dear to me. After Saturday service we headed to Aunt Paula's and Uncle Mike's for an early Easter and MSU basketball game. Great food, great company, sad ball game.
The kids had their egg hunts at school, we spent an afternoon coloring Easter eggs and on Easter morning the kids searched the living room for baskets. Shortly afterward, Eric let the dogs out, only to discover that bunny had hid eggs all over our backyard. YAY!!!! We usually have to search the living room and kitchen for them. We had a wonderful breakfast of homemade belgiam waffles with Nana and Papa, followed by some downtime (for Eric and the kids...I was cooking). We headed to Aunt Jackie and Uncle Ken's for our final Easter celebration of dinner and another egg hunt. It was another fun whirlwind holiday!
