Last weekend was a whirlwind. We started the fun with Havel's Halloween party. I worked the pumpkin painting booth while Eric and the kids checked out all of the different activities and hung out with their friends. Nana and Papa met us at the celebration so Eric and I could make our way to a hockey benefit for Eric's cousins. What a great time that was...for the female family members, especially. We had a great meal then spent a few hours shakin' it on the dance floor. You know you have an awesome mother in-law when she not only knows the importance of all things "bling" to one of your kids, all things "babydoll" to the other one but is also down with shakin her groove thing with you and having a blast doing it!
Saturday was Zumba, gymnastics, a birthday party, a kiddie Halloween party, and an adult Halloween party. We managed to make it to all of these events(not saying it wasn't tough)At Debby and Brad's Halloween party we had a fantastic time eating, dancing, playing and laughing. When we returned home, my mom and dad picked up the kids and Eric and I got ready for our neighborhood party. Some of the guys dressed as the Village people, Eric being the police officer, and the wives dressed as the female counterparts. Eric and I had a blast getting dressed for the party then laughed for hours straight at the party. It was such fun to let loose with some friends...most of the pictures from that party aren't suitable for my family blog.
Sunday was a day of cleaning the house and running a few errands. After Friday and Saturday, not to mention the busy week that preceeded it, a restful day was much needed and appreciated, as was the last minute invitation to dinner at my mom's.
