Kindergarten Conference

Eric and I were very excited to have our first "real" school conference last week. The entire meeting took only fifteen minutes but it is always exciting to find out if teachers think your child is as wonderful as you do. Turns out, Mrs. Kostrezba is pretty impressed. More by Avery's helpfulness in getting things organized (OUR Avery??) and her vocabulary than by her academic prowess. She didn't mention that Avery was a genius (maybe she just doesn't know yet) but she said that Avery will sometimes spend recess chatting with her instead of playing with her five year old friends. Mrs. Krostrezba thinks that she needs a little adult conversation in the middle of a five year old filled school day...has she got Avery pegged or what??? Academically, Avery is doing very well. Nothing stood out as something we should work on and noting was out of this world above where she should be. Avery adores kindergarten and the homework (and boys!!)that comes with it. I just know that conferences through high school will be just as pleasant! We shall see what Reagan's will bring next week...

Real parent/teacher conferences....geez Kim where does the time go? I am not suprised that Avery is the teachers adult relief during the day. She is wise beyond her years!
