Our Day at the Farm

Such a nice day!! Weather-wise, maybe not quite. It was pretty overcast, a little rainy and really humid but Avery and I thoroughly enjoed our morning at Upland Hill Farm with her Kindergarten friends. We all hopped on a school bus together and were on our way...
After a short time to use restrooms and explore a bit, everyone loaded into a big amphitheater/barn to learn about animals with live examples. We watched a cow being milked, a two week old pig being fed and a crazy goat crossing over flimsy bridges over our heads. After the demo was a hayride and hike through the storybook forest. We spent most of the day with Avery's room helper then found a picnic table near a classmate and her father. For the most part, I feel like Avery wanted to hang out with just me and the feeling was mutual. It was so refreshing to have a morning with just Avery. We will be visiting the farm again as a family. Avery told me before we headed out for the morning that she wished siblings were aloud. She wanted Reagan to come with us.
