Big Brave Reagan

Avery has been wanting to get her ears pierced for years now. We have made it as far as walking into the mall for the purpose of getting them done. Her nerves always win the battle and she never has had them pierced. She always tries to talk Reagan into doing it but Reagan has always said that she doesn't want to. I have found that Reagan is usually Avery's guinea pig when Avery isn't sure about something...like getting a "real" haircut. Yesterday, after spending the night at Nana and Papa's, Reagan informed my mom that she wanted to get her ears pierced. This was pretty out of the blue (no coaxing from Avery). Again, in the afternoon she brought it up so Nana. Papa, mom, dad, Uncle Deej, and big sister all met up at the mall for the big event (as you can tell, owning a driving range doesn't leave a whole lot to do in cold weather). I think we all assumed reagan would chicken out like Avery has in the past. She sat in that chair and let those women have their way with her ears. Not a tear or a wince was uttered by reagan. Avery, however, did a lot of whining about whether or not she wanted to have hers pierced and a lot of questions were asked of her little sister about the pain level. As of this post, Avery's ears are still hole-free.
