Friday morning we went to an assemblyat Avery's school. Avery was being presented an ACES award for academics. She was the only kid in her class who go this award and her report card was proof as to why she got it. Her third card marking was full of ones , which means excellent. She had no satisfactory grades even. Just a whole load of excellent. All of the kids that received awards in academics, citizenship, effort, or whatevert he S stands for was called up tp the stage to receive their award. Poor Avery was so terrified to go up there. I could see it in her eyes. SHe refused to go, which drew more attention to her in the far back of the gym than any kid got who went up to receive their award but I don't think she saw it that way and was relieved immediately after her turn was up. We all went to Olga's (Avery's choice)followed by a visit with the Easter bunny to celebrate.
